Many of the Christians who meet together as the church in Jacksonville came here in 1998 and 1999 from all over the United States, as well as Central and South America and Asia. As a result, we translate our meetings from English into Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese. Most of those who relocated here were already believers meeting with churches in their former localities, but some have received the Lord Jesus or have discovered the local church for the first time here in Jacksonville.

Before 1998, there was a handful of families meeting together in Jacksonville in the fellowship of the Body of Christ. Some had been here for decades, looking for the day the local church would be practiced here in full as it is today. We are thankful to the Lord for bringing us into a fuller church life where we enjoy Him daily with the brothers and sisters.
